Program Description:

  • Visiting Naturalist - monthly visit by naturalist engages students in ecological studies in the class, schoolyard and field.
  • Traveling Trunks - curriculum trunks offer 2 week interdisciplinary unit around various natural history topics.  (see website for complete description) 
  • Ralph Allen Environmental Education Resource Library --over 300 resources including field guides, curricula and reference materials. 
  • Visits to the MNHC or UM Zoological Museum
  • Saturday Discovery Days
  • Teacher workshops   
  • Family outings 
  • Summer day camps

Fees: 

1) VN = free 

2) Trunks = $25/2 weeks, $35/3 weeks plus shipping if necessary 

3) Library = available to members, memberships begin at $15/year 

4) Visits = suggested fee per student
