~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Learn about birds and native plants as we visit a recently restored wetland on the Blackfoot Community Conservation Area.
Beginning and experienced birders of all ages are welcome on this excursion to see and hear birds in the BCCA. We’ll discuss tips for identifying birds, and learn a little bird ecology.  The trip will include a fairly easy, approximately 1-mile walk.  Bring appropriate clothing, including walking boots or shoes, rain gear, insect repellant, and binoculars and field guides if you have them.
Binoculars and field guides will be available for anyone who needs them.
Meet at the DNRC State Land Section 16 on Monture Creek Road north of Ovando.  To reach the meeting point, drive north from Hwy. 200 on Monture Creek Road 2.2 miles.  There will be a corral and dirt road with a cattle guard on your right.
We’ll meet just inside the fence and carpool from there.
Please register for the trip by contacting Elaine Caton at 793-5038 or woodpecker@blackfoot.net
