After reviewing 49 applications and conducting 12 personal interviews, it is with great anticipation for the educational opportunities in the Blackfoot River Valley that we announce the selection of our new, and now full-time, Education Coordinator. The Review Committee consisted of Norma Bauer, Traci Bignell, Andy Erickson, Sandra Roe and Gary Burnett. Everyone put in countless hours reaching their recommendation, and we thank them for their service to the watershed.
Joining the Review Team for two final personal interviews where Jim Stone (Board Chair), Greg Neudecker (Board Vice-Chair), Hank Goetz and Racene Friede (Education Committee Chair). The Board of Directors has approved the consensus from this broad group.
We are pleased to announce that Nancy Schwalm of Lincoln, Montana has accepted the position as the Education Program Coordinator for the Blackfoot Challenge. Nancy’s first day at the Challenge was May 8th.
Nancy has a broad background in education and natural resources, has worked with private landowners and for public agencies, and has a strong passion for education. A brief biographical sketch and photo are attached.
